There is no tribe in Nigeria that was taught from the womb to hate another tribe,or region,we were all taught by politicians.
Given that babies can hear while in the womb, in fact,at around four months,we are told that they hear external sounds.
I am convinced that what they hear from their mother’s womb is not the brewing and boiling ethnic hatred in Nigeria.
Whatever they hear , taking for granted impacts the emotions of their mothers.
The simple logic behind our hatred for one another is that , hatred is a learned trait , and that is the right side of the truth.
The reason why the kids from all the ethnic groups are better than adults as they come together in nursery, primary and post primary or secondary schools.
Many children who met at such levels still have their best friends from other ethnic groups as school mates.You can ask from those who attended Federal Government Colleges outside the schools located in their regions in the 60s and early 70s.
After graduation, and now adults looking for jobs and they hear our politicians during campaigns that they will create millions of jobs.That will pull millions of Nigerians out of poverty during their tenure.
They now found out that their friends from certain ethnic groups have been comfortably employed and pulled out of poverty even with lesser qualifications , you can imagine the state of such hearts.
Occasionally we begin to doubt whether what our politicians said or were saying during their campaigns.
Whether they were saying that will kill millions of jobs and put millions in poverty.They fail to realize the workings in the heart of millions of our youths across the nation.
How they are separating friends and creating a serious divide that never existed.
