Did the Fulanis colonise us at any point in time of our history?
Why should people in the Sahel be the one to determine the sovereignty of indigenous people of Southern Nigeria?

Why are we still banking on oil and US support.The US has loads of shale gas and oil,so it no longer sees the Niger Delta or Southern Nigeria as strategically relevant.

On the other hand,terrorism is their major worry,so they are focused on Northern Nigeria.
US diplomats visit the North a lot more frequently than the South.

What everyone from Southern Nigeria should understand is that current US foreign policy assumes that Southern Nigeria is strategically irrelevant ( there might be some promise Lagos and it’s fintech industry) ,but as far as they are concerned,”Nigeria is Northern Nigeria”

National interests tend to be unsentimental with the US.With the Shale Revolution,US is awash in hydrocarbons,so it doesn’t need the Niger Delta or Southern Nigeria for anything.

Secondly, unlike Cubans in Florida,Nigerians of Southern origin aren’t a political force anywhere in the US.

There are many people of Southern Nigeria origin in the US,but that doesn’t mean that Washington considers Southern Nigeria to be strategically relevant.

Afterall,there are many Americans of Dominican origin ,but that doesn’t mean Dominican Republic is a top priority in Washington.

Lobbying, finding common interests and advancing those is the key.
Southern Nigeria has over 10-15 high level individuals in both US and UK Governments .
The hugely successful Nigerian diaspora is also easily 70-80% Southerners.We need to make use of such connections.

Meanwhile Igbo is becoming more and more popular in China as more Chinese learn to speak the language.
China has more interest in Southern Nigeria than North.

The question is, what are the Igbos doing with that cordial relationship with China?

My question is, with this bitterness and hatred between the youths both North and South,how can Nigerians be United? .
