How does it make sense to send soldiers, helicopters and artillery to a particular part of the country because they have a security Network that do not kill or abduct Nigerians, and on the other hand send a delegation to negotiate with killer herdsmen, bandits and other terrorists that kill Nigerians from another ethnic group.

So Nigeria Army can be as serious as this in bombing innocent civillians.This kind of strenght should have been used to get rid of insecurity in certain part of the country where the annointed tribe is in a greater population.Indeed there was a country.

The military seems to have determined to teach a certain tribe in a hated geographical location in Nigeria where the sun rises, that they have dared the annointed tribe in another geographical location in Nigeria.
The military laden with the annointed tribe wants to teach the ” dissidents” from where the sun rises a lesson in retaliation ,
that has been on since the end of the civil war, even after the declaration of NO VICTOR NO VANQUISHED.When shall we see the end of this?

It’s quite unimaginable and unthoughtful that armed bandits are the ones who receive better treatment from the central government.

What a nation with. “illogical”ideas in governance that is further dividing the nation.

The sense of being threatened by the “conquered to the conqueror just because “the conquered” formed a group for their protection and security purposes , with the suspicion that the group may metamorphise into a full army that may break away from the nation ,should be jettissoned as quickly as possible, because it is polarising the country the more.I am just watching from a distance.

So many things seem to be unclear to many of us in this nation after many years of independence.

My prayer is that this “Nigeria hypocrisy” will not drag the country into an unnecessary civil war for the second time because of these unfair treatment.The tension accross the country is unimaginable.
We must urgently seek for peace and ensue it.

It baffles me as I listen to the bragging comments from the annointed tribe on social media.After listening to them ,I am tempted to plead that people should go their separate ways alive.But that shall never benefit anyone no matter what we think.
The more the merrier.

But we must not have sacred “cows” just because they are rearing “cows” with criminal annointing,as herdsmen, to lord it over others.

There are so many laws that should address these issues in Nigeria,against open grazing, under age voting, bribery, protection of children ,child marriage.But because of the interest of the annointed tribe,the debates are killed in the senate before it is even mentioned.What hope is left for the nation?

We cannot continue to suffer from ethnophobic disorder .It is a disorder that may bury the nation.When the annointed tribe is reasoning in the reverse on every national issue.That is why we are even handling the issue of insecurity with bias.

It simply shows the level of injustice and hatred for the land of the rising sun that has made some youths asking to be left alone.To seceed peacefully even though they are in the minority.

The worst is the silence of the well meaning leaders from the conquered region because of their self-serving political interests.
But as long as their people do not have peace,they can never have peace.

I entirely blame the Governor of the “bombed” state because he must have been well informed in advance about the strike on his people.

It may even be possible that he is the one that sought the help from the federal government to bomb his people.Who knows!!There is nothing that is not possible in this country.May be we shall hear the story somehow and someday.

The federal government cannot take that kind of decision without carrying the state government along.May be he considered his party affiliation over the life of his people.

I want to conclude by telling those men and women from the land of the rising sun to learn to begin to invest in their home and build their home instead of investing in the places where you may be bombed one day.

If they have already started bombing you at home, what guarantee do you have that they will not bomb you outside your home when the time comes.?

In reality, money is what gives people a sense of control over their lives.The way of the world.

The reason Nigeria’s political class don’t mind being surrounded by poverty,because they know that poor people won’t feel a sense of control over their lives.They feel powerless, which makes them easier to control.

A TERRIBLE QUALITY.

If there is one terrible quality our politicians have,it is that ,they want to be financially up there at all cost ,at all times and not financially down.That is the reason they are changing political parties like pants.

They don’t just want to be counted out financially.In political seasons or out of season.The reason they never give up.

CAN WE DISARM THEM?

What can you say about a Governor who ruled a state for eight (8)years, under a particular political party,became a campaign manager for his party’s presidential candidate ,who eventually lost, and without shame jumping into another party this week, right before our eyes.Can we ever really defeat or disarm these politicians in this country in their trade?. I doubt much.

STATE CREATION FOR EMBEZZLERS

I think state creation has done us more harm than good.States seem to have been created for them as centers of corruption and embezzlement.

We can see how the existing states are fighting hard to even sustain or secure themselves or their domain.We now discover that we were just adding more embezzlers and multiplying looters in the system.

I am now believing that the only mindset for the agitation for new states, no matter the present imbalance, is to create room for more embezzlers like Governors,house of assembly members,house or representatives, and Senators.

We forget that hidden away in some sections of the country ,no matter the zone or ethnic group,are many who are suffering from the highest form of poverty.

POLITICIANS RICHER THAN SCIENTISTS AND INTELLECTUALS

We can only get our facts and bearing right when our politicians stop being so much richer than scientists, intellectuals and much more successful than everyone else because they are in politics.

The annoying part is that the money these politicians have is the stolen commonwealth, which they are using to be our “lords”.

Politicians have become so popular in our country,more than intellectuals and professors.That,to me is an abnormal society.A skillful intellectual forces you to think,but a skillful politician relieves you of that duty.

LAZY THINKERS EVERYWHERE.

Many Nigerians have become shallow thinkers rather than deep thinkers, reasoning the same way as our politicians as you listen to them discuss the affairs of the nation .Many have become lazy thinkers,
who argue based on where they come from.

The worst part of having conversations with such people on social media is that you might have gone really far, thinking that you are discussing with “somebody” and explaining yourself and issues before you realize that the other person is already mad for no just cause.

Some just go for the sake of argument and elevating a weak debate on serious national issues.

Today in our country people hate to deep think about the condition we have found ourselves,but they want change .

The viruses from the politicians have affected even the thought and sense of wealth creation by the youths.For our youths the only knowledge and thinking is looting.

I JUST DE LAUGH LIKE OUR FORMER HEAD OF STATE.

The reason I laugh at present generation ,
who wants to be rich by following politicians to loot.I want to let them know that wealth is built over time and through hard work.

THE DESTRUCTION OF THE POOR.

Well,the destruction of the poor is his poverty according to the holy writ.However,I think that our brand of poverty becomes more deadly when it is “intentionally directed”on the citizens as the case is with our political class.May God help us.

It is very unfortunate that we have entrusted the lives of over 200million Nigerians (our own brothers and sisters) into the hands of the most thoughtless among us.

How can an honourable Minister of the Federal Republic of Nigeria tell Nigerians to defend themselves against bandits even without arms.

Because according to him , during his days ,they used to fight people who come to attack them in the community.They will resist the attackers with bare hands to prove a point.

This is pure listlessness of rulership,a clear difference between leadership and rulership.

The present destruction caused by individuals and sects all over the nation, brandishing their violence with impunity cannot even be compared to the ruin and the “normalisation” of listlessness in our rulership.

This will continue to create a state of chaos . Unfortunately,it is difficult to hold them accountable even when they are out of office.

In sane societies,the Minister of Defence should have been fired along with the National Security Adviser (NSA).How can a Minister of Defence make such embarrassing statement?It clearly shows that he can never find solution to the problem of insecurity.

If the Defence Minister is prescribing self defence,it means that his ministry should provide Nigerians with the enabling tools or formally permit them to privately source for arms and ammunition,so that there shall be no more “coward” in this beleaguered and bewildered nation.

No wonder they have been very silent on recent kidnappings and bomb explosions recently.

He, indirectly is saying that Nigerians should go and arm themselves,buy their guns ,if they have the money because that is the last thing the government will do for its citizens.We shall soon convince him that Nigerians are not cowards.

Is the Minister telling Nigerians that the government has empowered the bandits through ransome payments,so Nigerians should defend themselves if they can?

Sometime ago ,a Governor suggested giving AK-47 to herdsmen, who knows whether he has already done so.Which means that we are on our own.

Who even knows whether the Minister of Defence has ever seen the kind of weapon that these bandits carry on their shoulders?
How would Nigerians not act like cowards when facing these bandits?

If he doesn’t know what to tell the Press Corp when ambushed based on the state of insecurity in the nation,he should have used the no comment option.

Where on earth do bandits wield RPG launchers if not in Nigeria? It is even more annoying the most for the Minister to say that the bandits go arround with like three rounds.How did he get the information,how did he know that.This can only happen in a totally failed nation.

No bandit will attack with 3 bullets.
Let us assume that AK-47 with a single magazine has 30 rounds/bullets and you have a 10 man bandit team, multiply 30 bullets by 10 man bandit team gives you 300 bullets.

We are talking about one magazine per man,but videos on social media show them with extra magazines.

Well the Defence Minister has succinctly told Nigerians what to do when oppressed by even soldiers who brandish their guns on the streets including the police.

Nigerians should not be cowards Nigerians should boldly defend themselves with weapons against the military oppression and against police brutality.

Arming terrorrists and calling the citizens cowards after collecting their own firearms,
is like tying your hand to your back and pushing you into the ring to box with a boxing legend.

In conclusion,since I have four junior brothers and two sons ,I am going to formally apply to the Defence Minister for 6 AK-47 riffles for my immediate family members and one pistol for myself.
They all need it now instead of being cowards because we don’t have cowards in my family!

Buhari repaid my father by making me Chief of Army Staff – Buratai

The immediate past Chief of Army Staff, Lt. Gen. Tukur Buratai (rtd), has admitted that the President gave him an appointment, because of the relationship between his father and Buhari.

Buratai stated this during a gala night organized by the 29th Regular Course Association in Abuja.

The event was to honour the ex Army Chief as the longest-serving COAS.

According to him, his appointment in July 2015 was a prize for the loyalty of his father, Yusuf Buratai, to Buhari.
Buratai’s father was non-commissioned officer in the Royal West African Frontier Force and a World War II veteran who fought in Burma.

Buratai said,
“My father was an ardent lover of the President and my appointment as COAS, therefore, was a price or reward for that gesture by the President.

“Of course, and as you have been told severally, we (the President and I) met in Njemena and he saw me and felt I was the right person to be COAS at that very crucial and critical moment of our history.

“And I am happy that we have discharged our responsibilities diligently, professionally and loyally, and I will continue to discharge my responsibilities to him and of course to our country and our people.”

On his immediate appointment as ambassador ,seconds after retirement,

I’m not a politician but Obasanjo almost retired me 21 years ago as Major “.
Can you now imagine the state of our security agencies and headship.
The reason some sections of the country can never smell such position

Remember that on several occasions Nigerians were requesting for his removal ,the Nigerian senate summmoned him severally and called for his sack which Brutai shunned.Do you blame him?

That the ex-Army Chief admitted that he was appointed because of his father’s relationship with the President is scary.
Choosing military chiefs based on favours instead of merit is why Nigeria ranks 161st of 162 countries in ” Security and Safety” by @CatoInstitute.

The “I owe you one arrangements” is the reason the country is sinking.

Making appointments based on favour and not competence sinks the nation , deeper and deeper than we can ever imagine.
It worsens our security situation.

Nigerian leadership atimes reminds me of our great grandparents and their marriage template .

It was so designed by the ancestors that a woman should not be heard.Slavery, domestication, intimidation and bullying. Our leaders seem to have deployed that template in governance.

We have just become the wives of our leaders, bullied and intimidated.We are supposed to be in the other room, while they take whatever decisions they like, whether we like it or not.

It is difficult sometimes to make any sense or meaning to their line of thinking.A special breed of human beings.

We can now understand why these retired soldiers were immediately given ambassadorial appointments to be rubber stamped or confirmed by a “RUBBER STAMP” @NGRSenate.

It is possible that some Senators may not be in support of these kangaroo ambassadors,but when you have the puppet majority what should you expect?

When you have a toothless minority in opposition with almost the same mindset what do you expect?

The interest of the rich and the powerful shape the terms of what we read and hear .

Communication directors who own the media makes it clear that our media works for the few and not for many .

Much of our media is not free.They are controlled by billionaire politicians.They own much of the printed press and electronic media.This helps to set the news agenda for broadcasters.You remember the spontaneous reaction by some hoodlums during the Endsars protest.When they went about burning down some television and newspaper houses that they suspect,belong to powerful politician regulators and behind the scene communicators who daily shape ,but privately the opinions of many in the society.

Just as the Government has undue influence on its news channels so it is in the private sector.They all have influence with implied threats, and appointments to top positions in the media industry.Media Mongols.

We need to democratise the media and set journalists free,so that they can pursue,fact-based,truth seeking reporting that challenges our nation.We need investigative journalists , who are patriotic and nationalistic.This the reason we must endeavor to elect the right kind of legislators who would craft enabling laws.

What we are hearing today is not media but paid propaganda.It is difficult for common man to understand the undertone, the narrative.It will always be confusing.The right narrative will never be understood.

Some hundreds of villages in the country have been emptied by bandits.

Bandits by whatever name have taken over people’s ancestral lands

The only thing many villages remember is that the sun rises with deaths and falls with funerals .

When the villagers defend themselves,
the Government will come after them.

The soldiers will arrest and kill those with arms to protect themselves.

Is it not what happens in a failed state?
Is it not shameful that the citizens are helpless.?Is it not possible that the President is unaware as usual.?

Is it not disgusting that when the Government fails to defend the citizens and the citizens decide to defend themselves,
then the Government now comes and kills the citizens?.That is the height of irresponsibility.

Unfortunately some Government trumpeters are telling us that things are better than they were years back.Goodluck to them.

This is why politicians keep recycling themselves from one party to the other.

The youth should be bold enough to retake whatever is left of the country.

For the past few days, a particular politician,who has been very critical of the Government in power ,is now going arround encouraging members of his party to decamp to the party he has been criticizing for years.

I know that this is part of what is discouraging some young people from joining party politics.

But that should not be.Rather it should encourage them to.They must not feel hopeless or helpless.

Our politicians have purposefully decided to jettisson ideology ,hope and vision in politics ,in all the political parties to create room for crosscarpetting.

Those whose fathers introduced crosscarpetting in politics in the 60s, think that we don’t know that it runs in their blood no matter the pretexts.

A country whose political parties lack ideologies, principles and good reward system is doomed.There is no way the issue of cross carpetting can stop.

Political parties are supposed to be built on the ideologies of progressive minded people,
not where party “A” in opposition becomes sub party “B’ in power after a few years.

It is unfortunate that the billions of naira that these politicians looted while in power hardly sustain them out of power for a few years.

They are always in a hurry to crosscarpet to sustain their looting no matter the platform.

MR SHUT FUSE , whose father was a known crosscapetter in the first Republic,should know that he has indeed portrayed himself as a hopeless politician to the upcoming generation.Like Father like son.

Nobody should be surprised ,if it becomes headline news in the next few days.

This country belongs to us all.Let the Government allow her citizens to defend themselves and stop killing them .

All those who have been benefitting from the present mess should remember that
there shall surely be a reckoning day.

There is nothing these charlatans in power will ever do to move me,but they can do many to amuse me,even though I am not yet tired of Nigeria.I am too old to think of checking out.

What is the percentage of households that have steady supply of electricity or even electric poles.Can you tell me?

On the 5th of February 2021, the Federal Government said that 30% Of Cars In Nigeria Will Be Electric By 2025.

That they are targeting that at least 30 percent of passenger vehicles in Nigeria will be electric cars by 2025.

This was during the unveiling of Nigeria’s first locally assembled electric car, in Abuja.

Director-General of the National Automotive Design and Development Council (NADDC), said the electric cars have come to stay. Nigeria would not be left out in the transition from fuel-powered vehicles to electric cars.

The Government has invested about $1billion in the auto industry in Nigeria as at 2019.

Nigeria, has invested about $300 million in Nigeria.

That electric cars would lead to reduction in fuel consumption and environmental degradation.

May be I didn’t hear well. I can’t see the indexes of such a development,if you have seen please encourage me with the information before I faint.I am already stressed out.

May be they are talking about powering the cars with imported generators.

Why not fix power,let us have regular power supply in our homes to sleep well please, before talking about electric cars.

Many businesses are suffocating because of lack of power supply.Many run on generators 24/7.You can ask those in hotel business.

If I see such indexes through technology, may be,I may be dreaming of 2050.

A country that someone said on national television years ago that Nigeria was going 180km/h in reverse.

But I should think that with the current situation ,we are going 250km/h in reverse .
May be the Government wants to prove me wrong .

The end seems to justify the means of governance in Nigeria.They have mastered the art of fooling themselves.

You cannot be surprised why politicians in most political parties turn back on their own word, promises and manifestoes,if they had any .

They feel justified and patriotic by saying they are. Pan-Nigerians.

Unfortunately we have succumbed to this political idiocy.Being governed by them for long without ideology.The reason for such daily crosscarpetting .

We wake up every morning in doubt of which political party some politicians belong to.

Our problems cannot be solved as long as these politicians are still around the political space,pretending to be making their contributions to nation building while plundering the nation for over five decades .

They have mastered the art of fooling themselves and those who want to be fooled.

They have so confused themselves and not us,and messed up the nation with tribal sentiments,to the extent that their close friends accross the country and relatives are doing well on state funds.

They collectively fear to lose all such privileges.The reason why they jump from one party to the other to remain at the corridors of power, to maintain their up and coming friends and relatives.

They treat the country like their personal estate.They run the country like personal or family NGOs.Through their proxies,they overstay in power, either at the State or Federal level.

You may not vote for them ,but they have a way of staying in power.

We can see such cluelessness being multiplied from one government to another.

Cluelessness squared and raised to power stupidity.

And they are just a small clique of people but well connected within the other ethnic groups.The reason why they see corruption as being smart, cheating in whatever form as being creative.So sad.

There is no tribe in Nigeria that was taught from the womb to hate another tribe,or region,we were all taught by politicians.

Given that babies can hear while in the womb, in fact,at around four months,we are told that they hear external sounds.

I am convinced that what they hear from their mother’s womb is not the brewing and boiling ethnic hatred in Nigeria.

Whatever they hear , taking for granted impacts the emotions of their mothers.

The simple logic behind our hatred for one another is that , hatred is a learned trait , and that is the right side of the truth.

The reason why the kids from all the ethnic groups are better than adults as they come together in nursery, primary and post primary or secondary schools.

Many children who met at such levels still have their best friends from other ethnic groups as school mates.You can ask from those who attended Federal Government Colleges outside the schools located in their regions in the 60s and early 70s.

After graduation, and now adults looking for jobs and they hear our politicians during campaigns that they will create millions of jobs.That will pull millions of Nigerians out of poverty during their tenure.

They now found out that their friends from certain ethnic groups have been comfortably employed and pulled out of poverty even with lesser qualifications , you can imagine the state of such hearts.

Occasionally we begin to doubt whether what our politicians said or were saying during their campaigns.

Whether they were saying that will kill millions of jobs and put millions in poverty.They fail to realize the workings in the heart of millions of our youths across the nation.

How they are separating friends and creating a serious divide that never existed.

Citizens with terrible experiences.

” I met someone in court who has been locked up for months.The only offence was disobeying curfew, and was paraded as an armed robber”

Fashion designer arrested and locked up for months for not wearing face mask ,but paraded as an armed robber because her family failed to pay N200k”

” My relation was picked up on his way to church on Sunday morning, reason being that he was wearing crazy jeans .He was added to others who were also picked up like him .And they were paraded as kidnappers”

I was locked up by the police over something i didn’t do and the police wanted me to bribe them so that they can release me .

Since they couldn’t get me to bribe them ,they later charged me to court.As God would have it,the magistrate struck out the case after several months of court sittings.”

Many lawyers have provided surport for fellow citizens ,on probono.There are significant number of those who have been locked up for more than a year without any reasonable offence.

I don’t believe that the Nigerian Police is irredeemable,it is just the political will to get things done.

In this country,
there are two ways to be fooled.
One is to believe what is not true,
the other is to refuse to believe what is true.

Bail is not free.
No matter the jingles.

For now , that’s the country we found ourselves.
